West Jackson Baptist Church

West Jackson Baptist Church in Jackson, Tennessee partnered with Haverstick Designs, Myrick Gurosky + Associates, and MG Systems to transform its existing 1,400-seat worship center into a more modern, flexible, and functional environment for worship and community gatherings.

The renovation included updated audio, video, and lighting systems, new seating, refreshed interior finishes, and significant modifications to the room layout. One of the most impactful changes was the removal of the existing fixed choir loft and the reconfiguration of a large portion of the sloped floor into a flatter, multi-purpose space capable of supporting a wider variety of services and events.

Haverstick Designs provided acoustical consulting services throughout the project, collaborating closely with the architectural and AVL teams to ensure the renovated sanctuary delivered exceptional speech intelligibility, musical clarity, and an engaging worship experience. The result is a revitalized worship space that not only meets the church's current needs but also provides the flexibility to support future worship services, productions, and community events for years to come.
